Abstract
Cardiac disease, and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy in particular, was commonly present in cats that died unexpectedly in this study population. Subendocardial fibrosis and intramural arteriolosclerosis were more common in cats with unexpected death with cardiac disease than in other cats.
