Abstract
â¶ The effect of DDGS (60% DMI DDGS diet) and REG (barley grain diet) manure on soil TN and AN was similar. â¶ The TP and AP content in DDGS manure amended soils were higher than those receiving REG manure. â¶ Higher barley forage N and P uptake and yield was observed in DDGS than in REG manure treatments. â¶ Greater TP content in DDGS manure require greater land area for manure application based on crop P need. â¶ Manure from cattle fed high levels of DDGS can increase soil AP content and associated risk of P runoff.
