Abstract
ⶠThe effect of DDGS (60% DMI DDGS diet) and REG (barley grain diet) manure on soil TN and AN was similar. ⶠThe TP and AP content in DDGS manure amended soils were higher than those receiving REG manure. ⶠHigher barley forage N and P uptake and yield was observed in DDGS than in REG manure treatments. ⶠGreater TP content in DDGS manure require greater land area for manure application based on crop P need. ⶠManure from cattle fed high levels of DDGS can increase soil AP content and associated risk of P runoff.
