Abstract
⺠Subsocial burrower bug, Adomerus rotundus, mothers vibrate a mature egg mass. ⺠The maternal vibration had a peak coinciding with the synchronous hatching. ⺠Broods isolated from the mother hatched asynchronously. ⺠Synchronous hatching was induced by artificial vibration. ⺠Mothers of A. rotundus actively promote synchronous hatching by physical vibration.
