Abstract
⺠We investigated the impact of algal blooms on nest construction in stickleback fish. ⺠Males took longer to complete their nests under algal conditions. ⺠Completed nests were also smaller and possessed wider nest entrances. ⺠We therefore show that algal blooms can affect both nesting behaviour and nest architecture.
