Abstract
âºWe quantify the stability of social bonds among female baboons at two sites. ⺠We compare observed stability against simulated values based on chance. ⺠Relationships with most preferred partners were more stable than expected by chance. ⺠Relationships with less preferred partners did not vary from chance. ⺠Females living in smaller groups with more close kin had the most stable bonds.
