Different social-learning strategies in wild and domesticated zebrafish, Danio rerio

► Social learning plays a role in boldness behaviour of wild zebrafish. ► We find differences in social learning between wild and domesticated zebrafish. ► Wild zebrafish are timid, but are emboldened after interacting with bolder fish. ► Bold zebrafish do not become less bold after interacting with timid ones. ► Boldness is mediated by social learning, but we find no evidence for conformity.
