Abstract
⺠Courtship displays are fundamental in governing mate choice. ⺠Surprisingly little is known about why courtship can feature repetitious signalling. ⺠Models of repeated displays can explain the function of signal repetition. ⺠The function of repetition in courtship displays can explain mate choice decisions. ⺠We present a guide to implementing a game theory approach in studies of mate choice.
