Abstract
► We investigate diving performance of hawksbill turtles using multisensor data logger. ► Dive duration of hawksbills is regulated by the activity level and the lung air volume. ► Hawksbills rarely perform anaerobic dives. ► The diving strategy of hawksbill turtles maximizes their time spent submerged.
