Abstract
⺠Theory suggests that signals between prey and predator can coevolve. ⺠The prey avoids attack, the predator avoids chasing a prey that has been alerted. ⺠Examples of convincing prey-predator signals are rare especially from insects. ⺠We report a predator-prey signal from a honeybee and its hornet predator.
