Abstract
⺠We detail methods for quantifying and testing temporal dynamics of social networks. ⺠We evaluate our analysis methods using data from monk parakeets to characterize the temporal dynamics of social structure. ⺠Monk parakeet social structure generally formed and stabilized quickly. ⺠Patterns differed by social association type but were generally consistent between groups. ⺠This analytical framework is generalizable to a wide variety of study systems.
