Abstract
⺠Great apes adjust their behaviour flexibly to match the task demands. ⺠Orang-utans exhibit less cognitive flexibility than the other great apes. ⺠Great apes are not conservative and rapidly abandon old strategies that no longer work. ⺠Prior problem experience does not hinder the solving of a new problem.
