Abstract
												⺠Female mating strategies depend on mate quality and the number of mates. ⺠Mating costs and demographic parameters may influence these strategies. ⺠Density and sex ratio affect female choosiness but not the observed mating pattern. ⺠Mating cost has a strong effect influencing also the number of mates. ⺠Moreover, mating costs influence the intensity of selection on female choosiness.
