Abstract
► The foraging behaviour of white-footed mice was influenced by an immunogen. ► Low-dose mice preferred to forage in safe food patches over risky patches. ► High-dose mice showed no preference based on patch safety. ► The results reveal fitness costs of immunochallenge, which reduces risk sensitivity. ► Changes in foraging behaviour have the potential to impact community interactions.
