⺠Common mynas showed a remarkable propensity for consumer and motor innovations. ⺠Innovation propensity was related to exploratory behaviour. ⺠Exploration increased with motivation and decreased with neophobia. ⺠Innovation propensity reflects thus motivational states and emotional responses to novel situations.
