Abstract
ⶠFear-evoking pictures were judged to be longer in duration than neutral pictures. ⶠThere was no difference in magnitude of the effect of fear across duration ranges. ⶠResults were interpreted in terms of scalar expectancy theory. ⶠThe findings were consistent with a switch-mediated effect.
