Abstract
â¶ Fear-evoking pictures were judged to be longer in duration than neutral pictures. â¶ There was no difference in magnitude of the effect of fear across duration ranges. â¶ Results were interpreted in terms of scalar expectancy theory. â¶ The findings were consistent with a switch-mediated effect.
