Abstract
Amitriptyline at 4 mg kgâ1 administered orally produced low amitriptyline and nortriptyline plasma concentrations. This brings into question whether the currently recommended oral dose of amitriptyline (1-4 mg kgâ1) is appropriate in dogs.
