Abstract
Administration of intra-peritoneal medetomidine (3 μg kgâ1hourâ1) by an osmotic pump increases the thermal nociceptive threshold in the immediate post operative period in pregnant sheep, suggesting that this agent may have a role in providing post-operative analgesia.
