Abstract
Both doses of morphine induced variable histamine release with minimal adverse cardiovascular effects in these concious, healthy dogs. The plasma histamine levels obtained may be associated with significant hemodynamic changes in patients with limited cardiovascular reserve and sympathetic nervous tone.
