Abstract
Atomized silver spheres (≤53 μm diameter) were coated with a 1 μm thick layer of (La0.6Sr0.4)0.98Co0.2Fe0.8O3−δ via a mechanofusion dry processing method. The material was successfully utilized as an SOFC cathode on anode-supported YSZ electrolytes at 700 °C, producing >500 mW cm−2 (at 0.7 V) and exhibiting relatively stable performance (∼3% power degradation per 1000 h at 0.7 V) during >2000 h of operation.
