Abstract
The individual components of electrode pastes (4PbO·PbSO4, 3PbO·PbSO4·H2O, PbO·PbSO4) have been synthesized, their behavior has been studied during soaking and formation, and the characteristics of the active materials made of these monopastes have been determined. This approach allows purposeful optimization of electrode paste composition to meet the requirement specified for batteries.
