Abstract
⺠Low pressure nickel-hydrogen battery for use in implantable neuroprosthetic device. ⺠Metal hydride/hydrogen gas used as hydrogen storage at sub-atmospheric pressures. ⺠Pressure variations follow desorption curve of the pressure composition isotherm. ⺠State of charge predicted accurately based on pressure variations in the battery. ⺠Lower self discharge rate of battery with metal hydride vs only H2 gas.
