Abstract
⺠Electrooxidation of acetaldehyde/acetic acid was studied at high temperatures up to 100 °C. ⺠Measurements were performed under fuel cell relevant conditions on Pt catalysts. ⺠Combined mass spectrometric and electrochemical measurements show distinct temperature effects. ⺠Acetaldehyde: the fraction of CO2 formation increases with temperature. ⺠Acetic acid: the activity on Pt catalysts is very low even at 100 °C.
