Abstract
► 0.2 M LiDFOB in the 1 M LiPF6-based electrolyte deteriorated the cycling performance of LiMn2O4/Li half cells because of the decreasing of the conductivity. ► The addition of heptamethyldisilazane to the TC-based electrolyte has not affected seriously the conductivity of original electrolyte, and can increase the stability of the electrolyte, improving the cycling performance of LiMn2O4/Li cells at room and elevated temperature. ► The additive can remove HF to form a kind of salt and reduce the surface film resistance of the batteries and inhibit Mn dissolution and electrolyte decomposition.
