Abstract

•New heterometallic gallium–sodium bis-o-amidophenolate complex.•The reaction with allyl halides at room temperature.•The formation of the new C–C.

The synthesis and characterization of the new bis-o-amidophenolate gallium(III) complex are reported. This compound was found to be reactive towards allyl halides at room temperature. The addition of two allyl halide molecules to the original complex accompanied with two new C–C bonds formation has been observed. The structures of the products obtained were confirmed by 1H NMR and X-ray diffraction analysis.
