Abstract
⺠Iron(II) dichloroclathrochelate undergoes C-centered radical reactions with alcohols. ⺠C-centered radical alcohol derivatives yield C-alkylated macrobicycles. ⺠The reaction is first example of alkylation of a macrocyclic ligand with alcohols. ⺠Free-radical substitution with alcohols proceeds with high regioselectivity.
