Abstract
⺠A new oxide- and chloride-bridged tetranuclear Cu(II) compound has been prepared. ⺠The hydroxyl groups form intermolecular hydrogen bonds stabilizing the structures. ⺠Structure shows uncommon hydrogen bonds between 4 clusters and short Cl-Cl contacts. ⺠The 3-hydroxyethylpyridine binds with pyridine nitrogen to Cu.
