Abstract
⺠A tetragonal pyramid-like MnII5 cluster was obtained with p-tert-butylcalix[8]arene. ⺠The calix[8]arene molecule adopts a 'pleated-loop' conformation. ⺠The MnII centers of the Mn5 cluster exhibit antiferromagnetic interactions.
