The synthesis, structure and magnetic property of a new coordination network {[Co2(bcp)2(bpt)2]·2H2O}n (1) (H2bcp = 1,3-bis(4-carboxy-phenoxy)propane and bpt = 2,5-bis(4-pyridyl)-1,3,4-thiadiazole), is reported. Complex 1 shows a 3D 48.66.8 topology with unusual self-penetration, in which represents a new example of 6-connected networks. In addition, the magnetic property of 1 has also been investigated.
Graphical abstractA new compound shows a 3D 48.66.8 topology with unusual self-penetration, in which it represents a new example of 6-connected networks.
