Abstract
A three-dimensional cyanide-bridged bimetallic assembly [NiII(tn)2]5[FeIII(CN)6]2[FeII(CN)6] (tn = 1,3-propanediamine) has been prepared and its crystal structure determined: space group P2(1)/n, a = 9.8536(5), b = 15.6670(7), c = 26.7670(12) Ã
, α = 90, β = 91.8130(10), γ = 90° and Z = 2. Magnetic studies show that the complex displays a metamagnetic behavior originating from ferromagnetic coupling and magnetic ordering at Tc = 9 K.
