Abstract
A novel azido-bridged Cu(II) coordination polymer, [CuL(N3)2]n (1), (L = 2-aminomethylpyridine), has been synthesized and structurally characterized. Complex 1 displays a 2D (6, 3) layered structure formed by alternating double EO- and single EE-azido bridges between Cu(II) ions. The complex also reveals an overall weak antiferromagnetic coupling between Cu(II) ions.
