Abstract

By in-situ formation of the tetrazolate ligand, 5-(3-pyridyl)tetrazole (L′), two three-dimensional metal–organic frameworks [CuI(L′)Na]n (1) and [Cu3I2L′]n (2), have been one-pot synthesized and constructed by the heterometallic cation cluster (Cu2I2Na2)2 + and (Cu6I4)2 + cluster as ten connected nodes, respectively.
