Abstract
⺠A novel neodymium alkoxide containing thiophene and phenyl units was synthesized. ⺠The X-crystal structure reveals a mononuclear compound. ⺠The electrochemical properties of the carbinol and the neodymium alkoxide were studied. ⺠The redox activities are only due to the organic ligands. ⺠Luminescence studies show an energy transfer from the ligands to the metal center.
