Abstract

Two novel lanthanide–copper complexes with an unprecedented μ7-edta coordination mode have been synthesized and characterized by single-crystal X-ray diffraction studies. Its framework can be described as one 2D net with Cu(edta)(H2O) as the edges and Cu2(H2O)2 as the nodes and the lanthanide atom is captured in the center.
