Abstract
Novel ruthenium carbonyl complexes containing an azopyridyl ligand were prepared and their molecular structures determined by X-ray crystallography. The complexes exhibited different azo ligand-based two-electron reduction behavior in electrochemical measurements, depending on the coordination modes of the azopyridyl ligand.
