Abstract
The solvothermal reaction of [Et4N]4[W4Cu4S12O4], CuI, 4,4â²-bipy and 4-nitoraniline with a mole of 1:4:2:2 resulted in the formation of a novel 2D cluster-containing compound {[WOS3Cu3(4,4â²-bipy)3][I]}n, which exhibits Borromean links with {WOS3Cu3} cluster units as connecting knots and 4,4â²-bipy ligands as spacers.
