Abstract
A three-dimensional mixed-metal phosphate was obtained by hydrothermal methods. Layers of corner- and edge-sharing cobalt octahedra are capped by phosphate groups, which in turn bond to interlayer Sn centres to define the framework. The material contains unidimensional channels and its magnetic and thermal properties are discussed.
