Abstract
Poly(propylene imine) (PPIs) dendrimers modified with glyceryl moieties (GD-PPIs) have shown a dramatic positive effect in the aerial oxidation of 3,5-di-tert-butylcatechol (3,5-DTBC) to 3,5-di-tert-butyl-o-quinone (3,5-DTBQ), catalyzed by copper(II) acetate. These dendritic effects are of great interest for degradation reactions of phenolic micropollutants for environmental purposes.
