Abstract
⺠Synthesis of the first isolated iron complexes of [Pt2(m-S)2(PPh3)4]. ⺠Methodology involved air-oxidation of Fe(II) derivatives, monitored by ESI MS. ⺠X-ray structure shows coordination at Fe to be distorted towards trigonal prismatic. ⺠Magnetic measurements confirm high-spin iron(III).
