Abstract

One novel metal–organic framework, namely, [Cd2(ndd)2(tib)2·H2O]n (1), [H2ndd = 2,2′-(naphthalene-1,5-diylbis(oxy))diacetic acid, tib = 1,3,5-tri(1H-imidazol-1-yl)benzene] has been prepared under hydrothermal condition and characterized by elemental analyses, infrared spectroscopy, powder X-ray diffraction and single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses. Compound 1 presents a 3D 3-fold interpenetrated (3,5)-connected network with the point symbol of (42·65·83)(42·6) topology. Furthermore, the thermal stabilities and luminescent properties of compound 1 were studied.
