Abstract
Reaction conditions to obtain Cu(II) and Cu(I) complexes of dithiohydantoins from Cu(II) salts are described. Complete reduction to Cu(I) takes place in case of six-fold excess of the ligand, while Cu(II) complexes are obtained in two-fold excess of NaOH.
