Abstract
The ligand 4,4′-biquinazoline (biqz) forms complexes in which it adopts either the P or M atropisomeric configuration; the complex cis-[Ir(biqz)2Cl2][PF6] · MeCN has been structurally characterised and shown to comprise a single enantiomeric pair (PM-Δ)(MP-Λ) of the six possible stereoisomers.
