Abstract
Hydroxychalcones (D-501 and D-601) were studied for their radiosensitization of a colon adenocarcinoma cell line (HT-29) and a pancreatic cancer cell line (Panc 1). These chalcones produced robust radiosensitization. Compound D-601 produced radiosensitization through its metabolite as the effect was partially reduced in the presence of α-naphthoflavone (ANF), a specific inhibitor of CYP1A2.
