Abstract
Among 23 3â²,4â²,5â²-trimethoxychalcone analogues tested, some of the chalcones displayed potent antibacterial activity against Helicobacter pylori, in addition, 1, 7, and 13 showed the bactericide activity against the reference as well as multidrug-resistant strains. Additionally, 1, 7, and 13 potentially inhibited the H. pylori-induced inflammation in human gastric epithelial cells.
