Abstract
The synthesis and structure–activity relationships of a novel series of piperazine derivatives as dual inhibitors of serotonin and noradrenaline reuptake is described. Two compounds possessed comparable in vitro profiles to the dual reuptake inhibitor duloxetine.
Graphical abstractThe synthesis and structure–activity relationships are described for a series of 20 mono-substituted N-(1,2-diphenylethyl)piperazines as dual serotonin/noradrenaline reuptake inhibitors. Compound 14 possessed a similar in vitro potency selectivity profile to duloxetine.Figure optionsDownload full-size imageDownload as PowerPoint slide
