Abstract
In this research, the kinetics of degradation of Rodamine B in the presence (hydrogen peroxide), (hydrogen peroxide + aluminum oxide), (hydrogen peroxide + nano-sized aluminum oxide) and (hydrogen peroxide + iron oxide) were studied. The order of reaction respect to the reactants (Rodamine B, hydrogen peroxide, iron oxide, aluminum oxide and nano-sized aluminum oxide) were determined by concentration dependency of the rate of degradation to each mentioned reactants. The rate constants of degradation of Rodamine B were determined for the examined systems. The obtained results show that the efficiency of the examined systems for the degradation of Rodamine B as follow: (FeO + H2O2) > (nano-sized Al2O3 + H2O2) > (Al2O3 + H2O2) > (H2O2).
