Abstract
⺠Simplified the handling of wave breaking in an existing surf zone model. ⺠Examined the effects of first and second order spatial discretization of the advection terms on overall model accuracy and computational efficiency. ⺠Investigated the neglect of lateral viscous fluxes in terms of model accuracy, efficiency, and robustness.
