Abstract
Three sources of long-term wind and wave data are available in the Mediterranean Sea: numerical models, satellites and buoys. We make use of the overall information to obtain calibrated decadal time series at a large number of points, distributed at 0.5° intervals. We discuss the accuracy of the three sources and point out the errors that affect the accuracy of the final results.
