Abstract
⺠A transcriptome of ovarian follicular epithelium of Rhodnius prolixus is analyzed. ⺠The role of follicular epithelium in egg development and chorion formation is studied. ⺠Transcripts related to Unfolded-Protein Response (UPR) were quantified. ⺠UPR transcripts were up-regulated in early and downregulated in late stages of egg development. ⺠UPR transcript profile makes follicle cells a model to study survival vs. apoptosis.
