Abstract
⺠Inhibition of plant growth by ascaulitoxin aglycone is reversed by amino acids. ⺠Amino acid pools are dramatically changed by the toxin. ⺠Neither alanine aminotransferase nor alanine: glyoxylate aminotransferase are inhibited. ⺠Inhibition of amino transporters may explain the results.
