Abstract
⺠Study of the ability of thiamine to induce resistance to P. viticola in grapevine. ⺠Thiamine protects grapevine plants against P. viticola under greenhouse conditions. ⺠Thiamine induces resistance to downy mildew by direct and indirect effects. ⺠Thiamine activated grapevine-defense mechanisms in absence of any pathogen infection. ⺠Thiamine acts as an elicitor in grapevine and not through priming as in Arabidopsis.
